Southern Hospitality

Gracious living starts at the home

Southern hospitality. Southern charm. While these may feel like antiquated stereotypes, there is much to be said about the South’s emphasis on gracious living and hospitable traditions. From the simple acts of leaving the porchlight on and sending a thank you note, to grandiose holiday traditions; from the way in which southerners open their homes to friends and family, to the knack for making special events, special – one thing is certain and transcends well beyond the South (who truly have it mastered)–hospitality starts at the home.

From the moment you enter The Tramont, you feel the intentional commitment to comfort, luxury, and hospitality through the details that are woven into the lobby, community spaces, and each residence. This is an experience felt by those that live within or are even just visiting the property.

When you first arrive, the enclosed motor court leads you to a modern but classically appointed lobby where you are immediately greeted by Birmingham’s only on-site concierge service and doorman. These friendly faces, alongside part-time porter services, are there to attend to any needs, even if it’s just a simple “welcome home” or a warm greeting to a first-time guest.

Behind each door lives gracious living that has been customized for every resident and their needs with the art of entertaining woven into the very DNA of the project. This is included in features like open spacious kitchens that were designed for interaction with warm tones, solid white oak cabinetry, Italian natural stone countertops, and Miele 6- or 8- burner gas range and speed oven. Knowing that many guests inherently end up in the kitchen, this space is inviting and not meant to be hidden. It has also been created effortlessly to connect with the living room and offer a communal space, while the accompanying pantry and storage spaces conceal the messier side of entertaining.

Light-filled and open living spaces are complemented by large terrace exterior “rooms”that seamlessly transport guests and residents to an elegantly blurred indoor/outdoor living environment and entertaining space. Here, gracious balconies and covered loggias lend themselves to an escape with city and lush mountain views made even more impactful via The Tramont’s perch above the community and intentional design which provides each unit an impactful corner view. These coveted terraces offer some of the best views in Birmingham as they overlook downtown, Redmont Park, and the famous statue of Vulcan.

Of course, one of The Tramont’s greatest amenities is its location. Whether coming from Birmingham’s suburbs or the core of bustling downtown, guests are always just minutes away. For the host that finds themselves in a last-minute situation, local favorites are minutes away – meaning you can host without dirtying up the kitchen.

Elegant and elevated living is better when shared, a sentiment infused into every facet of The Tramont from the moment you walk through the door and far beyond.
